The Employment Law Unit (ELU) is a vital program situated within the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) at the NYC Health Department. It has jurisdiction over the 7,000 employees in the agency to investigate and prosecute matters relating to employee misconduct and fitness for duty.DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:Assist the Employment Law unit in all phases of the disciplinary process including, investigations, preparation of disciplinary charges and prosecution from Informal Conference through the appeals process, including OATH and Civil Service Commission. Research and draft important and complex legal documents and opinions and support the legal office as needed. Work on Conflicts of Interest (COI) matters.
