Job Description:
Encompass Health Mechanicsburg is seeking a dedicated Speech
Pathologist to join our expert team of healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate will specialize in the assessment and
treatment of speech, language, social communication,
cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in both
outpatient and inpatient settings. You will play a crucial role in
enhancing patient outcomes by implementing personalized care plans
and utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques designed to
restore and enhance their communicative abilities. Assess and
diagnose patients with a variety of speech-related disorders.
Develop and execute personalized treatment plans based on patient
needs and medical conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary
team to integrate speech therapy treatments with overall patient
care. Document and maintain accurate patient records, including
observations, treatments performed and treatment plans. Educate
patients and their families about communication techniques and
strategies to cope with speech and language impairments. Conduct
research on effective treatment techniques and participate in
continued education to remain at the forefront of speech pathology.
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to assess speech and
language disorders effectively. Proficiency in using various speech
therapy tools and technology. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills to manage patients of varying ages and
backgrounds. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary

Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
(CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
(ASHA).
