CT Technologist Job Summary Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using prescribed ionizing radiation. The technologist works independently, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to departmental protocols. Essential Duties Prepare and position patients for CT examinations Enter and verify patient data in Epic Select appropriate CT protocols and obtain diagnostic-quality images Assist with CT-guided procedures and operate contrast injectors as needed Place IV lines and prepares contrast Process, label, and present images for radiologist interpretation Maintain accurate procedural documentation Follow radiation safety and infection control standards Maintain cleanliness of CT work areas Train students or staff as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (CT required per policy) Experience with CT systems and Epic preferred Must meet Occupational Health requirements Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
