Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Patient Care Tech - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 5 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Local Contract Patient Care Technician (PCT/CNA) Vineland, NJ 06 Weeks 36 Hours Position: Float - PCT/CNA Location: Elmer (with potential floating to other locations) Transportation: Must have reliable transportation Overview: The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the direction of registered nurses. This position involves maintaining a safe and clean environment in patient rooms and service areas, assisting licensed personnel with basic patient needs, and monitoring health and vital signs. Key Responsibilities: /t - Maintain a safe and clean environment in patient rooms and service areas. /t - Assist licensed personnel with basic patient needs, including personal hygiene and comfort. /t - Monitor and record patients' health and vital signs. /t - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. /t - Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols. Qualifications: /t - High School graduate or equivalent. /t - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA, CMA, or PCT in an acute care setting. /t - Must have patient bedside experience, including taking vital signs. Certification/Licensure: /t - Current certification as a CNA, PCT, or CMA is required. /t - AHA BLS certification is required. General Information: /t - Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend. /t - Scrub Color: Steel Grey. /t - Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday. /t - Request Time Off (RTO): No more than 3 days. Call off: /t - Client may cancel (call-off) up to one (1) shift per two week period without paying for the cancelled hours. First day instructions(FDI): /t - FDI are emailed directly by the hospital. Please expect 3 emails on the Friday before Monday start date. Please be sure to look in the junk folder as well – emails are sent usually around 2:00 pm on Friday. /t - Monday is a virtual day - Teams call starts around 8:30 - 9 am. Invite/link sent via email. After the Teams meeting, continue the day with 'at your pace' modules sent by the facility. /t - Badge appointment is emailed by the facility to issue the badge and review policy/procedures. The ID badge is very important to obtain prior to Orientation Shift. This is how you will clock in and out – so you can be paid accurately. /t - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday – orientation classes are scheduled ONSITE 1-4 hours long in early afternoon and details are sent after Monday meeting is completed. These are MUST attend and cannot be rescheduled or missed- you will take the end of class assignment which is required to schedule the orientation shift. /t - Orientation shift - Fri/Sat/Sun shift which will be at the time of the shift hired for and schedule will be made available after Tue/Wed/Thur orientation classes have been completed. /t - The POCT class is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd week of the assignment. Please share your POCT class date with us once received and remember to attend. /t - You must be available for the full 7 days of the first week for Orientation.
