Summary:.Coordinates outpatient programs that provide follow-up to
infants in the High-Risk and NICU follow-up clinics and the
Pediatric Health Center (s), and Pediatric Services. Involves the
identification of follow-up patients, meetings with the family to
review program, appointment setting, weekly clinic set up and
management, and coordination of the typing and mailing or
evaluation summary letters to private pediatricians. Coordinates
care for infants/ children and prepares reports that are performed
as baseline and/or for diagnostic purposes. Organize and administer
individualized age-specific professional care to patients with an
assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Practices
in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses
Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses,
Department of Health Regulations, JCAHO requirements and other
regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge
planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation
activities. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission of
Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Participates in patient teaching
and discharge planning.RequiredQualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school or university
- 3 5 years experience in Neonatal ICU in an acute care
setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in an outpatient setting and
fast-paced NICU Level III where high stress may arise
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and
documentation
- Completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman
Barnabas Medical Center
- Successful completion of all orientation programsPreferred
- Master s degree in Nursing (MSN)Certifications And Licenses
Required
- Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New
Jersey
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
upon hire
- NRP certification from the American Heart Association
- PALS certification from the American Heart

- 37.5 hrs. weeklyEssential FunctionsOrganize and administers
individualized age-specific professional care to patients with an
assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Work
closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare
professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge
planning.Engage with families, providing education and support
during complex decision-making processes regarding their infant s
care. Assists with revenue cycle, billing, coding and follow-up for
NICU, High-Risk infant follow-up, Pediatric Health Center,
