• Employment Type: TravelRN - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)Location: Woodhull Medical Center, 760 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11206Schedule: 10-hour Flex Shifts - Four-Day Work Week - 11:00 PM - 10:00 AM - Rotating Weekends & Holidays -Position Overview:Woodhull Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role requires a dependable and experienced RN capable of providing high-quality, post-anesthesia nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and sedation, ensuring safety and comfort, and managing post-operative care. -Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assess patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy with precision.
  • Provide conscious sedation care and monitor patient response.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in shift assignments, including weekends and holidays. -Minimum Qualifications:Experience:
    • At least 2 years of recent experience in:
    • Medical/Surgical nursing
    • IV insertion and phlebotomy
    • Conscious sedation -Licensure & Certification:
      • Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
      • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS CertificationWeekly Breakdown:Weekly Gross: $3600.00 Per Week -On W2(Taxable): $1,600.00 Per Week -Stipend(Non-Taxable): $2,000.00 Per Week4*10hrs Day Shift
