Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems across diverse property types. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing installations, and ensuring optimal operation of heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments for our clients while supporting property maintenance and system efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of heating units, air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment-including ammonia refrigeration-and ventilation systems. Conduct equipment repairs involving plumbing, welding, boiler servicing, and appliance repair to ensure system reliability. Read and interpret HVAC design plans and schematics to execute precise installations or upgrades aligned with project specifications. Utilize mechanical knowledge to service property maintenance needs related to HVAC/R systems and ensure compliance with safety standards. Conduct field service visits for routine inspections or emergency repairs across various properties while maintaining detailed service reports. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between job sites as needed. Support the maintenance of complex systems such as ammonia refrigeration units or HVAC/R equipment by applying specialized skills in refrigeration and mechanical repair. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments. Hands-on experience with schematics reading, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration-including ammonia refrigeration-and appliance repair is highly desirable. Mechanical experience involving boiler operation, welding, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks is preferred. Familiarity with field service procedures for HVAC/R systems combined with mechanic experience will set candidates apart. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently while adhering to safety protocols.
