Job Title: Senior Facilities Engineer, Projects Location:
Mahwah, NJ Hours/Schedule: M-F 8-5 Compensation: $52-$65/hour DOQ
Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Facilities
Engineer to provide technical leadership for utility and
infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for reviewing
MEP and vendor plans, executing equipment validation protocols, and
supporting construction and installation activities. The ideal
candidate will ensure that all infrastructure initiatives meet
safety, compliance, and operational standards in alignment with
site objectives. Responsibilities Lead technical reviews of MEP and
OEM/vendor drawings and assess site utilities to recommend
effective solutions. Draft and execute equipment validation plans;
develop and maintain User Requirement Specifications (URS), SOPs,
maintenance procedures, and Lockout/Tagout documentation. Support
Facilities Project Managers in supervising vendors during
construction, rigging, crane operations, and utility upgrades.
Conduct contractor briefings, safety walkthroughs, and ensure
vendor compliance with company and safety standards. Lead
troubleshooting and urgent repair efforts across HVAC, electrical,
plumbing, and infrastructure systems. Assist with negotiating
vendor contracts and service agreements to ensure quality and cost
control. Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and
facilities teams to align infrastructure projects with
manufacturing objectives. Ensure compliance with all safety,
environmental, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate
records of system performance, project milestones, contracts, and
compliance documentation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or related field (preferred). Minimum of 2 years of
experience in facilities, utilities, or infrastructure project
engineering. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, validation protocols,
and safety compliance. Ability to work independently and make sound
decisions with minimal supervision. Benefits System One offers
