About This Job We are hiring a Senior Finance & Billing Manager to own and build our core finance operations as we scale. This is our first dedicated finance hire, and you’ll work closely with the founders and external partners to ensure our financial systems are accurate, efficient, and ready for growth. This role is hands on. You will run day to day accounting and billing, while also building the processes, systems, and reporting that support better decisions across the company. In This Role You Will: Own month end close, including reconciliations across revenue, billing, and cash Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments Partner with outsourced bookkeeping and accounting resources to ensure accurate financials Build and improve billing, collections, and expense workflows Maintain and improve financial systems and tools such as billing platforms, ERP, and spend tools Develop budgets, forecasts, and reporting for leadership and board level visibility Track key metrics and provide clear insights to support business decisions Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and audit readiness Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes over time Work cross functionally with product, engineering, and operations on pricing, billing, and resource planning You Should Have: 7 to 10 years of experience in finance or accounting Experience owning or heavily contributing to month end close Strong understanding of revenue recognition, billing, and collections Experience managing AR and AP processes Experience working with or managing outsourced accounting partners Hands on experience with finance systems such as ERP, billing tools, or spend management platforms Ability to build processes in a fast moving or early stage company Strong attention to detail and comfort working directly in the numbers Clear communication skills and ability to explain financial data to non finance partners What We’d Love To See: CPA or audit background Experience in a startup or high growth environment Experience with tools like Stripe, Ramp, Brex, or similar Exposure to FP&A, including forecasting and budgeting Experience building reporting for executives or investors Experience improving or automating financial workflows Interest in using new tools, including AI, to improve finance operations PermitFlow provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or family status, as protected by applicable law.
