Medical Biller in Salem, Oregon. In this Contract to permanent
role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient
billing processes while adhering to industry standards. This
position requires expertise in handling insurance claims, payment
reconciliations, and patient billing inquiries using advanced
clinical software. Responsibilities: • Process patient billing
information with precision and accuracy using clinical software. •
Submit electronic and paper insurance claims promptly to ensure
timely payments. • Review patient demographic and insurance details
to verify accuracy before processing. • Follow up on unpaid claims,
denials, and appeals to maximize reimbursement. • Post payments and
reconcile accounts within the designated billing system. • Address
patient inquiries regarding billing issues and outstanding balances
professionally. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines
and billing requirements. • Generate comprehensive billing reports
to identify trends and resolve discrepancies. • Collaborate with
team members to improve billing workflows and resolve challenges. •
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and
insurance policies. • Proven experience in medical billing with
expertise in insurance claims and coding. • Familiarity with
handling medical denials and appeals processes. • Strong knowledge
of hospital billing procedures and regulatory compliance. •
Proficient in working with clinical billing software systems. •
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and
account reconciliation. • Effective communication skills for
interacting with patients and insurance providers. • Ability to
analyze and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently. • Knowledge
of medical coding practices and terminology.
