The group focuses on origination, structuring and execution of a variety of debt, derivative, advisory, and public-private partnership transactions across the U.S. The multi-functional group combines client coverage with product expertise, capital markets expertise, credit analysis and deal execution. Analysts and associates in PSI gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. On the financing side, analysts and associates provide a full range of services including running bond structuring analysis, assisting in developing and preparing credit information for formal bond rating agency presentations, assessing credit enhancement structures, reviewing legal and other offering documents and examining product alternatives as pricing approaches. On the advisory side, analysts and associates create and analyze financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives. Analysts and associates organize and prepare presentations which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our analysts and associates are a vital part of Goldman Sachs' banking teams.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications

  • Strong academic record with Bachelor's level, equivalent or above required
  • Experience in the public finance sector/financial services
  • Experience in conducting business, financial and legal due-diligence; preparing marketing materials, RFPs and structuring transactions
  • Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent stakeholder/client relationship management experience
  • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
  • Strong analytical background with experience working with large and complex data sets
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Must be a collaborative team playerPreferred Qualifications
    • Experience with client coverage and execution of municipal or project finance transactions
